The market you are buying in
As of October 1, 2026, OMMA counts 1,703 licensed growers, 557 processors and 1,259 dispensaries, and all three numbers are falling month to month. New grower, processor and dispensary licenses are on hold until August 1, 2028. Choose suppliers that will still be licensed, and still harvesting, a year from now.
1. Check the license
Look the grower up in OMMA Verify and confirm the business name, license number and expiration date match the paperwork. You are required to do this before a transfer.
Note what the license allows. A grower can sell flower, trim, shake, kief and noninfused pre-rolls. Infused products come from a licensed processor, and some suppliers, including us, hold both licenses.
2. Read the COA
- The lab’s name and license number, and your seller as the requester
- A batch number that matches the label and the Metrc manifest
- Pass or fail shown clearly for every analyte: microbials, heavy metals, pesticides, potency, terpenes, water activity, moisture and foreign material
- Metrc tag numbers for the sample and its source package
Ask for COAs from the last few harvests, not just the best one. Consistent results across batches tell you more than one high potency number.
3. Inspect the packaging and labels
Flower should arrive pre-packed in units from 0.5 g to 3 oz, in child-resistant packaging with the seller’s name and license number, the batch number, net weight, THC potency, the Oklahoma Uniform Symbol and the required warnings. Product that is packed or labeled wrong has to be refused or returned, so check a sample bag before your first order.
4. Ask about supply
- How often do you harvest, and how many strains are in rotation?
- What will you have next month and the month after?
- Which sizes can you pack, and can you pack under our label?
- What is your delivery window to our address, and who delivers?
- What are your minimums, payment terms and returns policy?
- Which shops can we call as references?
5. Start small and track sell-through
Place a small first order, put it next to your best seller and track how fast each product moves for two weeks. Reorder what sells and ask the grower for that strain’s next harvest date.
